This one-day / seven hours online course equips learners with hands-on practical skills needed to do actual compensation work within a typical HR and business environment, with focus on Excel skills. It is designed to supplement theoretical and technical knowledge of compensation gained through certification courses or other knowledge-based training on remuneration practices. Using a “watch first, then do together” approach, the facilitator will demonstrate the actual process steps involved in salary structure design, salary proposal preparation, payroll budgeting, tax calculation and commonly used Excel functions. Using simulated data for a fictitious company, learners will work on their own laptops to complete the above tasks using tools and methods similar to those used by large companies.

 Learning Outcome / Training Outline:

  1. Prepare Salary Proposal or CTC Calculation Worksheet
  2. Prepare payroll budget from scratch
  3. Prepare Tax Calculation Worksheet to calculate monthly / yearly salary tax
  4. Prepare Monthly Payroll accumulating data from different sources
  5. Prepare perquisite worksheet
  6. Prepare 108 Statement as per Income Tax Ordinance
  7. Prepare multiple payroll reports

Md. Mehanazuddin Rupom is a seasoned HR Professional who possesses expertise of handling both local and international HR Projects in his 10+ years of professional journey. He is also Microsoft Certified Trainer, Microsoft Office Specialist – Excel Expert and Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator.

He currently leads the HR & Administration functions of Bangladesh unit for one of the top multinational international sewing thread dyeing & finishing company named AMANN Group headquartered in Germany. He joined AMANN in August 2015 and then on contributed significantly to develop a sustainable business for AMANN in Bangladesh with the management of HR & Admin activities. For his outstanding contribution for setting up the HR & Admin functions in Bangladesh, company has awarded him with the responsibilities of New HR Projects in Asia and also made the Employee Engagement Survey Project Lead – Asia back in 2018. Prior to AMANN, Rupom worked in a HRBP Role for Manufacturing Team of Lafarge Surma Cement Limited that was a French Multinational Cement Manufacturing Company. He was also key member of Lafarge’s Asian Technical Development Team. Before Lafarge, he was with one of the biggest LLC’s in Bangladesh named Beximco Pharma. He started his HR career for this company back in 2011. However, he stepped into the professional world with British American Tobacco back in 2010 when he was recruited in there Trade Marketing & Distribution – TM&D team.

Apart from his professional commitment, he also conducts training on Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint in both online & offline form 2012. He has also established himself as a key profile internationally in the field of Microsoft Excel. He also conducted several trainings on HR & Management Skills topics in the organizations where he had worked. His key interest areas in this trades are Team Building, Communication Skills, Business Etiquettes, Talent Management, Performance Management, Training & Development and Organization Development.

During the Corona Pandemic that has started to expand from April 2020 in Bangladesh till now, he has conducted 50+ webinars in Excel with over 2,500 students from around the world.
