  •  Benefits of maintaining Costing/ Cost Accounting;
  •  Establishing an effective Costing system;
  •  Technical aspects of Costing department:
    1. Integrated accounting system
    2. Easier method of implementing Costing with less cost-involvement
  • Cost classification Cost-Benefit Analysis;
  • Absorption of General overheads;
  • Cost budget and cost control;
  • Cost analysis and budgetary control;
  • Costing as a management tool of profit maximization in the competitive market;
  • Impact of learning perfect Cost Accounting system on employee’s individual career and overall organization
  • Limitations of Cost Accounting and remedial actions to be taken to trim down these drawbacks/limitations.

M A Wahab is an author, educator as well as a freelance HR & Financial Consultant. Presently has been engaged (part-time basis) in management auditing jointly with Hoda Vasi Chowdhury & Co (Chartered Accountants) and SSMT as Management Consultant.

He served various foreign and reputed national organizations of Bangladesh (most notably: Dhaka City College, CIBA-GEIGY (presently: NOVARTIS), Swedish Match AB, Bangabandhu bridge, SwissContact-KATALYST, Navana group, etc) for more than three decades in different management capacities with proven track records.

Wahab is the author of text books on Cost Accounting, Auditing approved by Dhaka University and National University for its graduate & post-graduate curriculum. He was an examiner of Dhaka University. 

He received Master of Commerce with Honors (in Finance) and M. Com. (Accounting) from Dhaka University, Post-graduation in HR management (BIM), CA course from the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Bangladesh.

Wahab is a certified ISO/QMS auditor (IRCA, UK, Certificate # 1186027), Fellow of the Institute of Personnel Management (IPM), Institute of Internal Auditors and Intellectual Property Association of Bangladesh, Fellow of The Institute of Management Consultants (IMCA,B), BOLD.

Wahab was a (ex-officio) member of the Board of Directors of Social Islamic Bank Limited (SIBL) and the Director (Finance and  Admin/HR) of New Brothers Knitwear  Limited.

He is was a guest speaker of American International University of Bangladesh (AIUB), Gulshan Commerce College, Bangabashi College, Dhaka, Rishilp International School & College, Satkhira, Graduate Preparatory School of Business, Dhanmondi, etc.

He uses to provide lectures and deliver papers as Resource Person on different management issues like: General management, Administration, HR Training & Skill Development, Communication, Leadership, Finance, Auditing, Quality, Compliance, etc.

Among all the areas of M A Wahab’s expertise he is well acquainted with education, his preferred passion & long cherished desire that’s why he searches scope for furtherance of education.
